Riley 1½ Army Tourer. (1936)
![]() |
In 1936 Riley produced a modified version of the 1½ Lynx which was designed to be used by the Army. The main visual differences were flat topped doors, a more basic hood arrangement with larger rear screen and perhaps a higher ride height. In many ways, it resembled the Nine WD Tourers of 3 years previously. Whilst photos of a prototype model prove that Riley did seriously consider this model, it never seems to have entered production. The specifications below are for the standard Lynx, as it is unclear what, if any, mechanical changes were made.
