Riley RMB. (1946-52)

Riley RMB EVN808

This unusual RMB has a sunshine roof, which has been installed in place of the vinyl roof. The rest of the roof has therefore been covered with a metal skin, providing a slightly unusual square-cornered appearance at the rear. The sunshine roof comprises two panels with a structural bar between the two.

However, the roof is not the only change to this particular car. In place of the rain gutters on the standard vinyl roof, there are some unusual body coloured replacements, with a slightly different profile, which somehow give the appearance of a Citroen Traction Avant. At the front the normal side lights have been replaced with some that are fully fared into the wing, although not a style ever used by Riley. Other changes are presumably comparatively modern, such as the rear lights, and perhaps even the removal of the chrome strips on the running boards.
