Riley 14/6 Deauville
The Riley Deauville was one of the first bodies offered on the new 6-cylinder cars. Along with the Tourer model, it was bodied by Hancock and Warman who were based nearby within Coventry. They already produced a number of Riley's bodies, including the Lulworth and Nine Tourer. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the factory so the last cars were sold in 1931 and it wasn't really replaced.
The Deauville was a spacious 5 seater saloon, but apparently without the luggage boot by now a common feature on Riley Saloons. It was built on the longer 14/6 chassis, and over the course of 2 years perhaps as few as 50 were built, and only a couple survive.
