The body was based on the larger, 4 door tourer used on the 6 cylinder cars, rather than the early 2-door as built on the 9 Lynx. As with all Lynxes, the front doors were cut away at the top, with canvas flaps attached to the weather screens for poor weather. An easy way to differnetiate between this and the later lynxes is that the early cars never originally had bumpers (although some will have been retro-fitted). They also had the original black radiators, rather than the later mesh or chrome slat grilles. Approximately 200-300 were built.
